The new V3 dropper is EXTREMELY lightweight, providing some savings for all of you weight-conscious riders out there. It is still available in 90mm, 120mm, 150mm, 180mm, 210mm and 240mm length and 27.2mm, 30.9mm, 31.6mm and 34.9mm diameter options. What is even more convenient with the V3 is that each dropper can drop by increments of 10 or 20 millimeters on the bike without the use of speciality tools, whereas the previous version needed tools such as a strap wrench and and needle nose pliers to work on it.
The stack has been reduced 3mm lower than the V2 to allow maximum drop, making it the most compressed on the market. Overall, each post is shorter to allow you to slam the post as far into the seat tube as possible to get the maximum amount of drop using their posts.
Internally, OneUp has added an SKF® main seal and IGUS® upper and lower bushings to help reduce breakaway force, leading to smoother and easier post actuation.
For all of you “weight weenies” out there, the V3 has shaved some grams also making it the lightest dropper available; each dropper is ~60-70 grams lighter than the previous generation, respectively.
With all of these new updates on the V3 dropper post, we can confidently say that this is easily one of the best dropper posts on the market!
