Limited quality
Worked great for a short bit. The ratchet system broke after a few uses.

Great item for price
I would buy again, its like the clip type when you hit the NM needed. Remember when your done to go back to 2.0 nm or you'll mess up the spring over time!!!

Does the job!
Good size torque wrench for working on bicycles. Easy to use. I like that it has low settings, making it reassuring for those of us who ride carbon fibre bikes and who have carbon fibre seatposts.

Great tool
Great Torque wrench for a super low price, these things are so expensive. Precise adjustment and lock mode when you have selected the desired pressure. Plastic case feel cheap but just discard it and keep the wrench

Quality you can afford
Easy to use and quite intuitive. I didn't even check the instruction manual and went right in and found that the adjustments are quick, simple and effective. Will definitely buy more Foundation tools.

nice, solid tool
This is my first torque wrench, so I don't have others to compare it to. The tool feels very accurate and nicely built, it was easy to start using and fits my needs perfectly.

Easy to set the right torque spec
I use a torque wrench for most of my bolts on my bikes. This one works great for those bolts that need more than 6nm. It is easy to set the torque spec since it has markings for nm and you do not have to convert in lbs.

Does the torque mechanism work in both the clockwise and anti-clockwise direction, as some frame bolts will require?

Yes there is a switch on the wrench to change the spin direction (similar to other ratcheting socket wrenches). You can see the switch in the photo.

Can you lock it to a specific torque setting to avoid changing the torque setting accidentally while using it?

Yes. The smaller knurled knob on the end of the handle can be tightened to lock the wrench at the desired setting.

It does not. Only the wrench and a blow molded plastic case.

Is this made by Ice Toolz?

It appears to be virtually identical to IceToolz model E212, One-Way Torque Wrench, except that it is stamped "Foundation" on the shaft (instead of "IceToolz") and is rated at 4-24 N-m (the IceToolz E212 is rated at 5-25 N-m). The Foundation torque wrench is set up for a 1/4" drive socket. They are both made in Taiwan. The IceToolz version has nicer downloadable instructions.

There is Nm and meter per kg. But psi is not a torque measure, it is a pressure mesure.

Does this need to be calibrated? What is the accuracy +/-?

No is doesnt need calibrated, however follow direction when it comes to storage. Storing wrench under torque load over time may alter calibration. Also remember to read torque wrench correctly as different settings are labeled on the wrench, nm vs in lb. Even using the lock correctly helps the wrench in use and storage.
