We get a lot of questions about e-bikes, especially the Orbea Rise, so we figured we’d throw up a quick long-term review of one from one of the employees here at Jenson, Alex. Alex lives up in the mountains here in Southern California and has to do a fair bit of climbing and pedaling around at his local trail system to get to trails. Because he is in such high elevation, oxygen levels are different and make it a bit more difficult to breathe. This alone made it hard for him to enjoy long rides, especially when temperatures drop and snow season arrives.
To help maximize the time he can spend having fun on a bike, he purchased his first e-bike a year and a half ago; a 2022 Orbea Rise H30. With a solid part spec at a more than affordable price point, it was a no-brainer for him to pick one up and see if it helped transform his experience on a bike. Spoiler alert: it did. In fact, multiple riders here at Jenson have bought a Rise as their first e-bike in their stable, and with the ability to extend your rides and get more laps in, it makes total sense.

The Orbea Rise is a lightweight e-bike that is capable of handling anything you throw at it.
