The Neo 2T Smart is able to measure your power incredibly accurately within 1% and has pedal stroke analysis that measures the exact position of your left and right leg. The Neo 2T Smart is compatible with many axles and also doesn't need to be plugged in because you will be the power source. Quiet indoor training
Great for your winter training. Stable, quite. Works well with Zwift and TrainingPeaks programs. In both erg and non erg mode. Got the rocker plates as they were free with promotion. Would probably leave those off if I had to pay for them.

Such an AMAZING product and tool to up your training game!!!!!
The Tacx Neo 2T is an amazing indoor smart trainer. I wanted a more structured training plan going into 2023 so I paired the Neo 2T with TrainerRoad and couldn't be happier with my decision! The nice thing about this trainer is it simply works. I unboxed it, set it up and was training in a matter of minutes. It paired to my desktop Mac, my HRM and TrainerRoad with zero issues!

4 Questions
While it is clear that I need to provide cassette, do I also need to purchase an axle? Am using standard quick release (i.e. not with disk brake) SRAM. Thanks in advance for clarifying.

Comes with an Tru Axle and a QR don't worry, and also comes with a endcaps, for ROAD and MTB bikes.

I wouldn’t think they would get in the way or prevent you from using it. But make sure the trainer can’t fit whatever cassette size you need.

The rear wheel is removed from the bike and then the bike is placed on the trainer. The trainer locks in where the rear wheel would normally be. The manufacturer's website has pictures as well as Google Images.

If i purchase a 12 speed cassette, will i also have to modify current 2x11 set-up to with with this smart trainer?

The trainer will not mind if you run a 2x11 or 1x12 setup. Here is all the detailed info:
