Your stem is incredibly important to your bike. Having the right stem will mean your bike's ride quality will be spot on.The Spank Spoon 350 Stem features a chamfered bar clamp that reduces the stress around your bars for higher fatigue life. Made out of 3D forged, 6-series aluminum alloy, the Spoon 350 Stem has a lightweight and durable construction that is made for aggressive all-mountain and enduro riding. It is available in multiple colors and comes in 35mm or 45mm lengths.

Great
Not sure why it says gold, I got the blue. Works great! Gave me a more upright position being thinner it allowed me to add shims under it raising the bars.

Check the size before you buy.
It works out great and looks amazing. I initially ordered the wrong size in 35mm, I had to return and go back and order the 31.5mm version for my new bars, but they ride great.

Not great for carbon handlebars
Nice-looking stem, and the short stack allows fine adjustment of stem height very finely adjustable. However, the recommended torque of 9 Nm for the bar clamp is way too high to use this safely with a carbon handlebar. On the other hand, tightening to the 6 Nm maximum indicated for OneUp handlebars does not inspire confidence in the clamp's ability to remain at 6 Nm - was far too easy to loosen the bolts when adjusting bar angle.

The split clamp design is a bit of form over function - much easier to install a handlebar when using a single faceplate, and the ultra-narrow surface area of each piece means the force is distributed over a smaller portion of the handlebar than more traditional designs. Would work great with alloy, but I recommend those of you with carbon handlebars to avoid this one. Ended up exchanging for the updated Race Face Aeffect R, which feels sturdier and has a gapless design at the top, solving both problems.

Great stem
Super strong stem so far. It's taken some big hits and there's no slipping or creaking. Love the color too.
